Born in South Africa in 1981, Darryn grew up with a passion for the natural world. His earliest forays into wildlife art were the drawings he created during family trips into the African bush.

The exquisite detail and lifelike quality of Darryn’s art comes from painstaking research. He collects reference material on field trips into the bush as well as at breeding centres before heading into the studio.
