Alexander Phimister Proctor (1860 – 1950) was an American sculptor with the contemporary reputation as one of the nation’s foremost animaliers.

Proctor dedicated his life to creating monumental statues throughout the United States. He gave much effort to making available his smaller bronzes to the general public. His work has been avidly included in private collections and museums from coast to coast.
